DHEW Ganderbal organizes Awareness programme at Korag Sehpora

DHEW, Mission Shakti Ganderbal today organised an awareness programme regarding Nasha Mukth Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA), BBBP and women centric schemes at Anganwadi Centre Korag Sehpora, Ganderbal.

The NMBA is aimed at creating a substance-abuse free society by focusing on awareness, prevention, and rehabilitation programs, fostering a healthier and more prosperous community.

The team imparted the awareness regarding working and functioning of the District Hub for Empowerment of Women, Mission Shakti Ganderbal at district level.

It also raised awareness regarding different schemes like Pension schemes, Scholarship schemes, Prosthetic Aids, etc.

The team also threw light on Women empowerment schemes available at District level such as Umeed, Marriage Assistance Scheme, PMMVY, Employment generation schemes Tejaswini, Mumkin, PMEGP, etc. It also provided awareness regarding updated Schemes, criteria and documentation.

Later, the participants were sensitized about Women Helpline number 181, Role of One Stop Centre and District Hub for Empowerment of Women Ganderbal, and how these institutions will help a women who is the victim of any kind of violence.

At the end of the programme, grievances of the women were also noted down and were assured to be provided assistance with the help of concerned departments.
