Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Musarrat Islam today handed over specially designed motorised tricycles to identified specially-abled persons here at District administrative complex, Ramban.The Distribution of Motorized Tricycles is done by J&K State Rehabilitation Council in collaboration with DC Ramban .
ADDC Ramban, Rajinder Sharma, CPO Dr. Kasturi LAl, , DSWO, Rahul Gupta, PRIs and various other senior officers were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC praised the Social Welfare Department for ensuring saturation of welfare schemes of the department and benefiting the poor, underprivileged and other weaker sections.
He informed that the motorized tricycles provided by the J&K State Rehabilitation Council, have been distributed among 10 specially abled persons in the district and in coming time shall be distributed to more than 50 additional beneficiaries .
He said that the District Administration is committed to provide every possible help to the needy and specially-abled persons. He said the department earlier also distributed the same type of motorized tricycles and other helping equipments to the needy.
Beneficiaries who received motorized tricycles today hailed the initiative of the District Administration and Social Welfare Department Ramban.
