Two matches were played in the ongoing Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Cricket Tournament here today at Sports Stadium Poonch.
In the 1st match Surankote zone beat Sathra Zone by 22 runs. Batting first Surankote Zone scored 149/4. Chasing the target Sathra zone scored 127/6. For Surankote Irfan and Farhan took two wickets each.
In the second match Kanuyian zone out played Buffliaz Zone by 61 runs. Kanuyian zone set a target of 135 where Buffliaz zone bundled out for 74 runs.
The tournament is being organised by District Administration Poonch in collaboration with the Department of Youth Services and Sports, Poonch.
Dr Zakir Hussain, General Manager, District Industries Centre, Poonch was the chief guest on the occasion.
