Says Bairam Cave to be developed as heritage & pilgrimage tourism site in shortest possible time

The Deputy Commissioner (DC), Budgam, Akshay Labroo today visited the Bairam Cave site of Shri Abhinav Gupt at Beerwah and inspected ongoing development works there.

During visit, the DC inspected work progress on projects including access to the Cave, (Staircase) up to Cave, development of approach road, tile work on concrete park, lawn development and beautification of Park, installation of benches, grass cutting, functioning of street lights and Park development near the stream side, functioning of lavatory Block and illumination of viewpoint.

DC emphasised that work process be expedited on all projects and all works be completed in the shortest possible time.

He said that Bairam Cave site has huge tourism potential and same shall be developed for heritage as well as pilgrimage tourism site.

DC said that the District Administration is committed to ensure development of the Bairam Cave and facilitate all facilities for the hassle-free arrival of tourists to the spot for its heritage as well as pilgrimage significance.

He said locals of Beerwah area shall be largely benefitted once tourists start visiting this place.

He said that people from all communities are very supportive and contribute immensely in the developmental process across Budgam.

The DC was accompanied by ADDC, Dr Akramullah Tak, JD Planning, SDM Beerwah, ACD, CMO, Executive Engineers of various engineering wings, Tehsildar, BDO and other concerned.

Mirwaiz Central Kashmir, President Municipal Council Beerwah and other respected locals also called upon the DC during the tour.
