JKAACL sub-office hosts literary, cultural & folk festival at Rajouri

The Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL) Sub-office Rajouri hosted a one-day literary and cultural folk festival at GGHSS Surankote. The event was witnessed by more than 500 girl students and prominent citizens. The event was presided over by the School Principal, Mukhtar Manhas, who commended the organizers for promoting the rich cultural heritage of the region.

The festival was a stunning display of the talent and artistry of local and out-of-town artists, who mesmerized the audience with their enchanting folk dances and music.

The performers included renowned artists such as Gulnaz Chouhan, Rasmeet Singh and party, Subhash Dutta, Mohammad Rafi, Liyakat, Ayaz Saif Trishant Kartar, Sanjeev Kumar, Khursheed Rather, and Shabnam Parveen and party.

The Chief Guest lauded the efforts of Secretary Cultural Academy, Bharat Singh Manhas, whose tireless efforts made the festival a possibility. The festival provided a vibrant platform to the artists to showcase their talent and celebrate the rich cultural traditions of Jammu and Kashmir. The event was a testament to the Academy’s commitment to preserving and promoting the region’s cultural heritage for future generations.

Cultural Officer Sanjeev Gupta organized the festival under the supervision of Amjad Manhas, Accountant at the sub-office Rajouri
