Annual Jathi Mata Yatra commences in Doda

The Annual Jathi Mata Yatra was flagged off today by Deputy Commissioner Doda Vishesh Mahajan and SSP, Abdul Qayoom from Jathi Mata Mandir Khillari Gajoth.

More than 1000 devotees are expected to participate in the yatra. The religious pilgrimage is scheduled to span three days from July 31 to August 2, covering a distance of 10 kilometers uphill.

On the day one the Yatra will cover 2 kilometer distance to reach Jathi Nalla Mandir, where a night jagran will be held. The following day, on August 1, 2023, the Chari Yatra will embark on a 6-kilometer journey to Thanda Pani Dhodral, where the pilgrims will spend the night.

Finally, on August 2, the Chari Yatra will proceed for the final Darshan at Jathi Mata Gufa Mandral Dhar, covering a distance of 2 kilometers. After the Darshan, the Chari Yatra will return to Khillari Mandir Gajoth.

The DC has asked the agencies/ departments concerned to provide all the logistic support so that the pilgrims don’t face any difficulty during the spiritual journey.
