2 minor sisters drown to death in Jammu canal

Two sisters drowned to death in a canal in Digiana area of Jammu district late last evening, official said here on Friday.

An official told that two sisters, aged 3 and 5 years, went missing in Digiana area last evening, following which a search operation was launched.

He said that the joint operation was launched by NDRF, SDRF and Jammu police to retrieved their bodies.

“After hectic efforts their bodied were recovered and have been taken to a hospital for medico-legal formalities,” he said
