DC Jammu conducts extensive tour of Khour area

Deputy Commissioner Jammu Avny Lavasa today conducted an extensive tour of Khour area during which she visited Panchayat Kachrayal and adjoining villages.

SDM Khour, Anil Thakur, BDO Samwan, Ajay Kumar, HDO, Amit Saraf, Range Officer Kali Dhar, Pawan Gupta Sarpanch Kachrayal, Anuradha along with staff from RDD and Forest department accompanied the Deputy Commissioner during her tour.

At the outset, the Deputy Commissioner inspected Open Gym ares in panchayat Kachrayal. She planted a sapling under Green J&K Plantation drive organised by RDD and Forest department at open gym ground area which is used by local residents especially youths for sports activities.

The Deputy Commissioner asked the forest officials for developing a green fence around the ground instead of a boundary wall or other wire fencing.

Encouraging the local youth to chanalize their energy in the right direction, the Deputy Commissioner said that many efforts have been made to deliver sports facilities up to Panchayat levels in the UT. She further urged them to move in the positive direction by participating in sports, to stay away from social evils like drug abuse.

She also listened to the issues of local residents raised by Sarpanch of the Village and assured that all the genuine demands/issues will be projected further to the higher authorities and followed for an early resolution.
