The Director Horticulture Kashmir, G R Mir led the Joint Inspection Team (JIT) on a visit to M/S Shaheen Foods and Spices at Khanmoh, Srinagar, to conduct the second Joint Inspection of the unit.

During the visit, Director Horticulture highlighted the importance of establishing more post-harvest units, as significant quantities of fruits are lost due to post-harvest and transport-related losses. By encouraging the establishment of such units, the horticultural sector can significantly reduce wastage and enhance economic gains for farmers.
