With an aim to spread awareness about Drug Addiction and its ill effects, Haphruda Army Camp in collaboration with Widows, Orphan & Disable People’s Trust NGO J&K, organised awareness campaign on Drugs at Govt Boys Higher Secondary School, Trathpora wherein various events like skits, group songs, speech and group dance were organised by the school students. These events primarily focussed upon ill effects of drugs on society and how collectively we can eradicate this social menace.
Prominent personalities like SHO Vilgam, Nb Tehsildar Tarthpora, BDC Trathpora, Block Medical Officer Trathpora, Principal & Teachers of Higher Secondary School Trathpora, Sarpanches, Ward members, Asha workers of nearby villages, National Motivational speaker Md Shafi Mir and 2ic Vilgam Battalion shared their valuable knowledge on the subject.
A total of 307 Students and 36 guests from various sections of society participated in aforesaid campaign. The awareness drive will also help to build confidence amongst civil society and motivate them to do well in their life. At the culmination of the event the participants were felicitated with prizes.
