DC reviews implementation of PM-FBY scheme in Udhampur

To review the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (Prime Minister’s Crop Insurance Scheme) in the district, Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Sachin Kumar Vaishya today convened a meeting of officers and Bankers here in the Mini Conference Hall DC Office Complex.

During the meeting, the Bankers were directed to put in extra efforts to extend Crop Insurance cover to maximum farmers. “Ensure that the majority of farmers are covered by explaining to them about the benefits of the insurance scheme,” he directed the stakeholder departments.

The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, Mudassir Yaqoob Zargar, Chief Agriculture Officer, Sanjay Anand, LDM and other officers and bankers.
