15 schools get 1000 desks, premises of 25 others fenced under 14th FC in Kishtwar district

To provide the best learning experience to the students with enhanced facilities, fifteen Government schools in Kishtwar District have been allocated 1000 desks, while premises of 25 schools were protected by installing fencing under 14th Finance Commission through Panchayati Raj Institutions.

A joint venture of District Administration, Education Department and PRIs, the augmentation of the infrastructure aims to keep schools encroachment free and provide a safe environment to the students.

The allotted desks were today handed over to schools in the presence of Panchayat members, marking a significant milestone in the development of educational infrastructure in the district. The initiative has received resounding appreciation from students and heads of the institution, who recognized the positive impact it will have on their education.

The provision of 1000 desks was made possible under the 14th Finance Commission Funds which demonstrates the district administration’s commitment towards utilization of resources for the most important Education Sector. These desks will greatly contribute to the overall improvement of educational facilities and create an enabling atmosphere for students to excel academically.

Chief Education Officer, Prehlad Bhagat has expressed his gratitude to Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Devansh Yadav for the support.
