DC reviews status of Jal Jeevan Mission works in Udhampur

Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Sachin Kumar Vaishya today convened a meeting of officers and field functionaries of Jal Shakti Department here in the district at Mini Conference Hall DC Office Complex to review the latest status of ongoing works under Jal Jeevan Mission scheme.

At the outset, Superintendent Engineer R K Mahajan gave a brief on the status of allotments and progress of ongoing JJM Works. Executive Engineer Jal Shakti, Ashok Kumar Sharma briefed the DC about the Sub division wise progress of works under Jal Jeevan Mission scheme.

The DC took detailed review of Sub Division wise progress of allotment of works, construction of Rapid filtration plants, forest clearance, laying of pipelines and other related works under Jal Jeevan Mission in the District.

Concerned officers were directed to allot all the works within one week. The DC stressed on gearing up the resources to speed up the progress on execution of all the works and their timely completion. He stressed that all work done under the scheme should be clean and the pace of work needs to be speeded up so that the project is completed within the stipulated timeline. He also directed the officers to regularly monitor the quality and progress of all allotted works. He further directed the SDMs to ensure holding review meetings and sort out the issues related to implementation of JJM in their areas.
