Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, today reviewed the performance of the Rural Development Department under different developmental schemes.

The meeting focused on the achievements recorded under District Capex Budget, SSY, ABDP, status of construction of bunkers, Aadhaar seeding under MGNREGA etc.

Taking stock of the progress made under various schemes , the DC was informed that out of 3715 works proposed under the District Capex Budget, tenders for 2713 works have been floated.

Similarly, under the aspirational Panchayat Development Program, tenders for 17 out of 41 works have been floated, and for the aspirational Block Development Program, tenders for 5 out of 23 works have been floated.

The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the progress made under the SSY and UT Capex schemes under which out of 285 and 246 works, tenders for 104 and 216 works have been issued, respectively. The Deputy Commissioner urged the officials to tender all works at the earliest.

Regarding the status of construction of bunkers, the Deputy Commissioner was informed that 1563 out of 1892 bunkers have been completed. In addition, the generation of person days under MGNREGA and aadhaar seeding was also reviewed.

The Deputy Commissioner stressed the need for expediting the progress of ongoing projects and initiatives to ensure that they are completed within the stipulated deadlines. He emphasized the importance of ensuring that all projects are implemented effectively to achieve the desired outcomes.

The progress under various schemes and initiatives was thoroughly reviewed, and the Deputy Commissioner laid special emphasis on expediting their completion within the stipulated time.
