DDRC organises North Kashmir Inclusive Sports event at Bandipora

The District Disability Rehabilitation Centre (DDRC) Bandipora, in collaboration with the District Administration Bandipora today organized North Kashmir Inclusive Sports Event at SK Sports Stadium Bandipora.

The grand event was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr. Owais Ahmad.

Prominent dignitaries and officials from the District Administration Bandipora including Nodal Officer Coordination Mohammad Ashraf Hakak attended the event

The initiative aimed to promote inclusivity, unity and sportsmanship among diverse communities. The event showcased a range of activities, including Inclusive Cricket, Carrom, Chess, and Wheelchair Race captivating the participants and spectators alike.

The North Kashmir Inclusive Sports Event was designed to celebrate diversity and create an environment that embraces people of all abilities. By integrating various sporting activities, the event successfully bridged the gaps between different segments of society, fostering mutual understanding and acceptance.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Owais said that the North Kashmir Inclusive Sports Event offers a platform for individuals with disabilities, enabling them to showcase their talent, determination, and indomitable spirit.

The players demonstrated their exceptional skills and sportsmanship, reminding everyone that disabilities should never limit one’s ability to excel. The matches were fiercely contested, filling the air with excitement and creating an electrifying atmosphere for the spectators.
