Medical Camp at Teetwal Kupwara organized by Range Police Headquarters Baramulla under the aegis of Civic Action Programme 2023-24 in which more than 300 locals including elderly, young and childrens availed the free medical facilities. Worthy DIG (P) NKR Baramulla Shri Vivek Gupta-IPS was chief guest of the event. The event was witnessed by galaxy of officers from Police, CAPF, and Health Department of Block Tangdhar which included BMO Tangdhar, Doctors and Paramedical Staff. The aim of the event was to provide basic health care facilities to the old aged and down trodden people residing in the far flung areas of District Kupwara. Doctors from Medical Department were deputed for examining the patients, during the camp quality medicines were distributed to locals free of cost. Importantly Medical camp touched all segments of General Medicine, besides most important tests i.e highly infective tests (HIV), Serology rapid tests, Blood Sugar Tests, and Covid Tests were done and result of these tests were provided on spot to the concerned. Moreover, doctors present at medical camp effectively resolved various queries raised by patients besides doctors present shared some health tips and emphasized upon the importance of Hygiene and other preventive Health Care Measures in one’s life that can help the person in maintaining a healthy life style. While addressing worthy DIG (P) NKR Baramulla lauded the efforts of Medical Department for making the event successful. Besides conversed the aim of conducting such events is to provide basic health facilities to people residing in far flung and to inculcate importance of maintain hygiene in them. Worthy DIG (P) NKR Baramulla further ensured that such free medical camps for the General Public of far flung areas shall be organized by Police Department in future also.
