DC Shopian reviews progress on RIDF projects of NABARD

Instructs for speeding up pace of works execution

The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Faz lul Haseeb today chaired a meeting to review the status of projects funded under Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF) of NABARD in the district.

DDM NABARD, Rouf Ahmed Zargar informed the meeting that 56 projects with total outlay of Rs. 216.39 Cr, under different sectors are under execution in the district. The projects funded under RIDF of NABARD in the district include rural roads, bridges, water supply schemes, primary health centres, irrigation and flood control works, fruit mandis and works under Sheep Husbandry among others.

He also apprised the DC on various issues related to fund flow, timely submission of Project Completion Certificates and Utilization Certificates.

The DC, while reviewing the physical and financial progress of the taken up works, laid thrust on the executing agencies to complete the projects under timelines fixed by NABARD.

Project-wise threadbare discussion was held to accelerate the physical and financial components of the projects.

The DC directed the Executive Engineers to speed up pace and complete the slow moving projects by the end of this year.

He also impressed upon the executing agencies to liaison with the line departments to keep them abreast of status of projects and proper monitoring.

The meeting was attended by Joint Director Planning, Khursheed Ahmed Khatana; DDM NABARD, CMO, DSHO, CAHO, AMO and Ex-Engineers of R&B, PHE and Irrigation and other concerned.
