In consonance with prestigious Kargil Vijay Diwas, Army Good Will School organised a cultural program to honor and pay homage to the martyred of Operation Vijay. The aim of organising this program was to increase the awareness amongst the locals. The awareness was about sacrifice and bravery of the Indian Army in safeguarding our nation and also to build a cohesive bond between the Indian Army and the locals.
The highlight of the event was the guest *Mr Sanjay Suri*, the eminent bollywood actor and producer. He visited the school to pay homage to the martyrs and join the students of AGS, chandigam and youth of Lolab. The youth of numerous schools, colleges and age groups across Lolab showcased their talents by their breathtaking and outstanding performances including cultural dance, patriotic and cultural songs.
Mr Sanjay Suri interacted with the locals, having his ancestral roots from Kashmir. He shared his memories about Kashmir and also shared his experiences in Bollywood.
The gathering of over 500 people was witnessed to celebrate the evening and host the esteemed guest. The locals were extremely grateful to the Indian Army for organising such an event and inviting Mr Sanjay Suri as chief guest. Being a native of Kashmir, Mr Suri is an inspiration for kashmiris. Mr Suri’s message of Kashmiriyat and hardwork to seek success was deeply embibed by the locals which is a testimony to forge a NAYA KASHMIR.
