DC inspects Progress of NH144A Widening Project in Rajouri

In a bid to ensure seamless connectivity and smoother transportation for the residents of Rajouri, the Deputy Commissioner, Vikas Kundal, undertook an extensive inspection of the ongoing NH144A Widening Project at different construction sites.

The project, which spans across 8 packages, aims to widen the existing Jammu-Rajouri-Poonch National Highway, starting from Akhnoor. During his inspection, the DC meticulously assessed the progress of work at various construction sites and instructed the concerned officials to expedite their efforts in order to meet the predetermined deadline.

He also emphasized the need for interdepartmental coordination and asked the officers to work in tandem to resolve any issues that may arise during the course of the project. Moreover, the DC made it abundantly clear that the quality of work should not be compromised on any account and warned against any slackness in this regard.

He underscored the importance of maintaining the highest standards of workmanship, in order to ensure that the general public can reap the maximum benefits from the project.

“As the project nears its completion, the people of Rajouri can look forward to a more efficient and seamless transportation system, which will undoubtedly enhance their quality of life”, the DC said.

“The project will not only improve connectivity but also boost economic growth in the region, paving the way for a brighter and more prosperous future for all”, he added.
