Speaking on the occasion, Director Agriculture observed that the signing of MoU with the said Educational institution will provide us an opportunity to reach out to the students and make them understand the skill based interventions in the agriculture and allied sectors.

He said with the help of this initiative the Agriculture department would be able to incorporate agri-skills among the students, which on one hand will make them acquainted with the basic agriculture activities and on the other hand will increase the employability among the students in agriculture and allied fields.

Iqbal said the agri-skilled educated youth could play a vital role in the development of the agriculture sector in the region and could contribute to the economic scenario of the valley. He said the main aim is to make our educated youth job providers, not the job seekers.

Principal GCW, MA road Srinagar also expressed her views and marked the importance of signing the MoU with the agriculture department for the overall benefit of students.
