Deputy Commissioner inspects developmental works at Sher-e- Kashmir Bridge and adjoining areas in Poonch

The Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Yasin M. Choudhary (IAS), today visited the Sher-e-Kashmir Bridge and adjoining areas to inspect various developmental works being carried out in the area.

The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by Xen PWD, Yasir Kichloo, ARTO Poonch, Basharat Mehmood, Naib Tehsildar, and other concerned officials.

 

The Deputy Commissioner directed the Xen PWD to ensure that the ongoing macadamization work at the bridge is completed at the earliest and of high quality.

 

During the inspection tour, the Deputy Commissioner closely examined the progress of the ongoing developmental works and emphasized the need to complete them within the stipulated timeframe. He also stressed the importance of ensuring that the macadamization work at the Sher-e-Kashmir Bridge is executed with the highest quality standards to ensure the safety and convenience of the public.

 

During inspection tour of the Sher-e-Kashmir Bridge, the Deputy Commissioner observed the dissatisfactory condition of the roads in and around Poonch town. He noted that the damaged road surface posed a significant risk to motorists and pedestrians alike and needed urgent attention. As a result, he directed the XEN PWD to start the work of pot holes and patch work without delay and also instructed to ensure that the work is carried out with the highest quality standards and completed within a stipulated timeframe.
