The 4th District Srinagar indoor rowing Championship 2023 concluded elegantly at Indoor Sports Complex, Elahibagh, on the occasion waqf board chairperson Ms Dr Darakhshan Andrabi was chief guest of the event.
The championship was Organized by District Rowing Association under the banner of J&K Rowing and Sculling Association in Collaboration with J&K Sports Council. In this mega event more than 250 boys and girls participated from different Schools / Clubs in different event categories through out district Srinagar. The occasion was graced by Ms Darakshan Andrabi.
Many other dingnitries including Tariq Ghani CCIK president, Farooq Ganderbal, and other CCIK members were present in the closing Ceremony of Indoor Rowing Championship.

Total no of 55 races under different disciplines were conducted 35 different races out of 52 were conducted. All the participants were very enthusiastic for their first time participation.Ms Bilquis Mir, an International Player of Kayaking & Canoeing and Director Water Sports, while sharing the stage Mir highlighted the importance of sports activity in daily life of people belonging to any age group. Mir Further appreciated the massive participation of girls in the event.
On the occasion Dr Burhan Social Activist, President J&K Association of Rowing and Sculling, In his speech applauded the mega participation of students.He further said that JKARS is committed to unmask the young talent across J&K and to provide the platform to the deserving players
Dr Burhan further said that these types of events are very important to save our youth from drug abuse
