The Biryani scam involved the distribution of substandard food and drinks to players during a football tournament. The Baby league scam involved the manipulation of age groups in a youth football league, leading to unfair competition. The Mufti Memorial scam was related to the misuse of funds meant for the development of football infrastructure in the region. The Covid scam involved the embezzlement of funds meant for Covid relief measures and financial assistance for football players.
These scams have raised serious concerns about the transparency and accountability of football administration in Kashmir. The football community has been demanding immediate action to address these issues and bring the culprits to justice.
In this regard, the Elections of JKFA (Jammu and Kashmir Football Association) should be held as soon as possible, as per the Constitution of AIFF (All India Football Federation). It is crucial that all those involved in these scams are not allowed to contest any election in the future. This will ensure that those who have committed wrongdoing are held accountable and that the football administration in Jammu & Kashmir is free from corruption and malpractice.
The football community in Jammu & Kashmir is hopeful that the authorities will take swift and decisive action to address these issues and restore trust in the sport. It is important that all stakeholders work together to promote transparency, accountability, and fairness in football administration, for the betterment of the game and the community it serves.
We also Appreciate Shri Kalyan Chaubey president All India FOOTBALL Federation and replicate his words The vibrant sports culture in Jammu and Kashmir has been amply visible during the I-League matches in Srinagar, where crowds have thronged in numbers to watch Real Kashmir FC play at the TRC Football Stadium. The Federation, as part of ‘Vision 2047’, plans to develop football across the country in a bid to take Indian Football forward,” He also said that
“There is no dearth of talent in Jammu and Kashmir, and we would very much like to work with the stakeholders in the region to bridge the gap between the youth and the beautiful game,
