Justice Vinod Chatterji Koul, who is also Administrative Judge Anantnag today, visited the proposed site for the construction of a new court complex at Sarnal Anantnag.

Justice Vinod was received by Jaffer Hussain Beigh (Principal District & Sessions Judge Anantnag) and F. H. Iqbal (Chief Judicial Magistrate Anantnag).

 

Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Senior Superintendent of Police Anantnag, Executive Engineer R&B Division Anantnag, Tehsildar Anantnag among other officers were present on spot.

 

The Administrative Judge took stock of the situation and was dismayed at its slow progress. He gave directions to the Deputy Commissioner Anantnag and executing agencies to expedite the matter so that the construction work is started at the earliest after confirming all the codal formalities.

 

A separate patch of land measuring 10 kanals was also inspected on the occasion, and on spot directions were passed for requisition/ acquisition of the same.

 

Deputy Commissioner Anantnag and the executing agencies assured that steps will be taken for early commencement of the project so that the needs of the general public as well as the District Judiciary are met.

 

The Administrative Judge assured that he will personally monitor the progress of the work.
