Unveils Hidden Historic Mirror Image Frame associated with Noor Jahan, wife of Mughal Emperor Jahangir
CEO Tourism, Poonch Development Authority, Dr. Mohammad Tanveer under the supervision of District Development Commissioner Poonch, Yasin M.Choudhary today conducted a successful sanitation drive at Noorichum, a popular tourist destination in Tehsil Surankote, District Poonch.
The drive was also supported by Cultural Officer JKAACL Rajouri Poonch Range, Dr. Alamdar Adam, Pir Panjal Trackers, and White Water Rafting Federation J&K.
During the sanitation drive, the team stumbled upon a long-hidden historic mirror image frame associated with Noor Jahan, which was hidden inside the thick bushes.
CEO Poonch Development Authority, Dr.Mohd.Tanveer said that our aim was to promote cleanliness and hygiene in the area to attract more tourists. The drive was successful in raising awareness among the locals and tourists about the importance of maintaining cleanliness and preserving the historical significance of the place.
The CEO of Tourism, has appealed to the public to cooperate in keeping the tourist site clean and not to dispose of any litter. He has also emphasized on the need to use dustbins and maintain a clean environment to preserve the natural beauty and historical significance of the place.
District Cultural Officer JKAACL, Dr. Alamdar Adam lauded the efforts of the Poonch Development Authority in conducting the sanitation drive and uncovering the hidden historical treasure have been widely appreciated. He further said the discovery of the historic mirror image frame has generated a lot of interest among the locals and tourists, and it is expected to attract more visitors to the area.
