Stresses on generating mass awareness
To review the progress of registration of beneficiaries and generation of golden cards under Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana –Sehat Scheme, Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Sachin Kumar Vaishya today convened a meeting of officers of health and other allied departments, here in the Mini Conference Hall DC Office Complex .
Detailed deliberations were held on various aspects which included progress under Ayushman Bharat scheme, beneficiaries registered and golden cards generated, beneficiary identification system, IEC activities, block wise target/achievements, Issuance of health cards, Bottlenecks in implementation of Sehat scheme etc.
At the outset, Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Anil Manhas gave a brief about the achievements of AB-PMJAY Sehat scheme in the district.
The DC reviewed the Block wise progress of Registration and generation of Golden cards and asked the concerned to expedite the process and ensure 100% saturation of all the beneficiaries in the district.
The DC directed the health department to start IEC activities on mission mode to generate awareness in the district to encourage the public for registration under Sehat scheme. CMO was directed to activate ASHAs workers for mobilize the general public regarding registration and generation of Sehat Cards. The DC stressed on Health and other allied departments to work in co-ordination to achieve the targets in the shortest possible time.
Another meeting was held today under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Sachin Kumar Vaishya regarding the functioning of Jan Aushidi Kendras in the District at Mini Conference Hall DC Office Complex Udhampur.
The meeting was apprised that the government has sanctioned 04 Aushidi Kendras for the district Udhampur.To stop the unnecessary prescription of drugs by doctors, the DC directed the CMO to ensure for conducting prescription Audit in the District.
The DC said that the aim of Jan Aushidi Kendras was to make quality medicines available at affordable prices for all particularly the poor and weaker section of the society.
