Srinagar, May 30 : Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has approved an ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakh to the next of kin of Udhampur man who was shot dead my militants in Janglat Mandi area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district yesterday.

In a statement, issued to the news agency, a spokesperson said that the LG also also approved Rs 5 lakh each to the next of kin of those who lost their lives in a bus accident in Jammu.

The statement added that Rs 50,000 each have also been announced for those seriously injured.   “He has directed the district administration to take care of the treatment and provide all assistance to the bereaved families,” it reads
