Teetwal Karnah :World Environment Day is celebrated annually and holds immense importance as it aims to shed light on the importance of environment preservation.  It is a reminder of the crucial role that environment plays in our daily lives and the need to protect and conserve environment for future generations.  This year marks as the 50th Anniversary of World Environment Day, which will focus on Solution to plastic pollution under the campaign “Beat Plastic Pollution”. To mark the occasion,  World Environment Day was celebrated at Tithwal  under the aegis of the Shakti Vijay Brigade on 27 May 2023. The day began with a tree plantation drive at Tithwal in which a large crowd of  locals and  students of  local schools participated with  zeal and enthusiasm. This drive was aimed at raising awareness about the importance of environment conservation.  The event also focused on the measures that can be taken to address these issues, such as plantation of more trees, followed by cleanliness drive in the village Tithwal including  playground, local market and the road to protect the environment. Thereafter an informative session was taken by Mr Ajaz Ahmed Khan which proved to be enlightening, and the attendees gained valuable insights that could be implemented in their daily lives to help conserve environment.  The event brought together people of all ages to promote the sustainable management of environment resources. Such initiatives are crucial for increasing awareness among the locals, and it is essential that we continue to take steps to conserve this precious resource for the betterment of our future generations. After the conclusion of the event, the attendees enjoyed light refreshments and celebrated their collective efforts to promote environment conservation.
