KUPWARA, MAY 02: Deputy Commisioner Kupwara, Dr. Doifode Sagar Dattatray today convened a meeting of engineers of Jal Shakti department at Meeting hall of DC office complex Kupwara to review the status of on-going water supply schemes and coverage of households under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM). DC  took scheme wise review and received  feedback from the concerned engineers regarding measures taken  for timely completion of JJM Schemes. DC asked concerned  to make optimum use of available resources and ensure completion of works on mission mode to chase the target of taped water to every household. Deputy Commissioner stressed on gearing up all resources to speed up the progress on Updation of data on IMIS portal and e-Jalshakti portals . The Deputy Commisioner stressed for  completing the tendering schemes in stipulated time and tendering, allotment and other process of newly approved works of JJM works in a time bound manner. It was told in the meeting that 107 Scheme under JJM with project cost of 615.14 crores  are  ongoing in the district. Regarding the coverage of households, the meeting was informed that out of total 156456  households, 93467 have already been connected, while rest of  households are targeted to be covered under JJM.  The DC directed the concerned engineers to accelerate the pace of work and ensure that every household of the district gets tap water supply. JD Planning; Abdul Majeed, SE Hydraulic; Er Muhammad Saleem Malik, EXen PHE Kupwara, EXen PHE Handwara, EXen Mechical Kupwara, AEEs   and other concerned were present in the meeting.
