Kupwara, Apr 7 : A policeman died due to bullet injury in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Friday, officials said.

They told news agency that policeman, Bikram Sharma (SgCt), deployed as guard at the residence of a BJP leader, sustained firearm injury, resulting in his instant death.

Confirming the death, a police official told news agency that a police team is at the site to collect necessary details. “Whether the fire was due to accidental discharge of his service rifle or it was deliberate (read suicide) is being ascertained,” the official added.
