Heroine Like substance weighing 6.62 grams recovered

Continuing it’s drive against drug peddlers on Anti drugs front and to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society ,Poonch Police yesterday arrested two narcotic peddlers namely Waqar Ahmed S/0 Abdul Qayoom R/0 Banola,Mendhar and Ajaz Bashir S/0 Bashir Ahmed R/0 Chak Banola,Mendhar and recovered 3.36 grams and 3.26 grams of heroine like substance from them.
In this regard, a case FIR no. 56/2023 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS ACT has been registered at P/S Mendhar and investigation of the case has been taken up.
The team headed by Insp Nayaz Sho Mendhar Assisted by Psi Simranjeet and Psi Sushil under the supervision of Sdpo Mendhar Sheezan Bhat apprehended the drug peddlers and recovered heroine like substance from them.
Poonch Police enjoined upon all citizens of Poonch to be aware of drug menace and report any incident to Poonch Police as their identity will be kept secret.
