During the meeting a detailed discussion was held about the various rules set by the Government to run private schools including tuition fee, annual charges, basic facilities to the students, etc.

The DC conveyed directions for strict adherence to the standing rules and norms set forth by the Government from time to time for running the private recognized educational institutions.

The DC directed all private schools that no admission fee be charged at all and in case the tuition fee exceeds Rs 1000 and annual fee exceeds Rs 6000 then prior permission from the Fee Fixation Committee must be obtained, failing which strict and stern action will be initiated against the violators.

While interacting with the heads of Private Institutions present in the meeting, the DC said that there is no doubt that private schools play an extremely important role in imparting education but violation of rules and norms set by the government can not be tolerated at any cost.

The DC also appealed to the people to bring into the notice of district administration if any violation to the standing rules and norms is found by any private school in the district.
