Srinagar, 22 Mar 2023. Son-et-Lumiere Season 2 has been organized and coordinated by Indian Army in collaboration with the local administration of Pattan–Palhallan.
The success of Son-et-Lumiere Season 1 (2021) has inspired the local populace for a sequel. This year’s Festival is aligned with India spearheading G20 Presidency espousing the motto “Vasudeva Kutumbakam”. Music as an art has always been an unifying factor since time immemorial and the fest will provide an appropriate platform to showcase the multitude of local talents.
The musical extravaganza at Pattan Degree College in Baramulla district of North Kashmir by Indian Army witnessed performances by renowned and budding artists from Kashmir. The event showcased local talents followed by exhilarating performances by Shafi Sopori, Saima, Aabid Aly, Police band, Rouf Dance Group along with other scintillating performances.
Apart from the local populace, the event was graced by the presence of senior officers of Indian Army along with senior officers of Police, CAPF and senior dignitaries from the civil administration.
The Indian Army endeavours to provide various platforms for the talented local artists and inspire many more artists to showcase their immense talent.
