Arrangements for ensuing Ramadan-ul-Mubarak reviewed at Kulgam

KULGAM, MARCH 17: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat today chaired a meeting of officers of various departments to take stock of arrangements put in place to provide hassle-free services to people during the holy month of Ramadan.

On the occasion, a threadbare discussion with regard to various necessities was held, wherein the DC emphasized upon the concerned officers to ensure that every arrangement is made well in advance so that people may not face any inconvenience during the month of Ramadan.

The DC directed the concerned authorities to ensure the availability of all requisite and essential commodities to the people at prescribed rates.

He also instructed to intensify market checking and conduct of special drives to ensure availability of quality products.

Dr Bilal instructed officers of KPDCL to ensure uninterrupted power supply during Iftar and Sehri time besides the concerned from Jal Shakti were instructed to provide smooth supply of drinking water to people especially at the given times. He also asked to press the tanker service in areas where ever required.

The DC also instructed EOs of all Municipal Committees to carry out intensive sanitation drives.

Besides, PDD and Municipal authorities were instructed to make all the street lights functional and repair high mast lights which are defunct.

ARTO was instructed to start special transport services during the month of Ramadan.

All the officers were stressed to work in a coordinated and synergized manner to provide better services to people throughout this month.

ADDC Showkat Ahmad Rather, ADC Viqar Ahmed Giri, SDM-Noorabad Bashir Ul Hassan ACR Mir Imtiyaz-ul-Aziz, Tehsildars, CAO, DSHO, Dy.SP, ARTO, AD FCS&CA, EOs and other officers, besides, Civil society members, Traders, Auqaf members also attended the meeting.
