Srinagar, Mar 08 : Two persons were killed after they were hit by an ambulance in Parimpora area of Srinagar on Wednesday morning.

An official said that during intervening night, ambulance bearing Reg no JK02B-8302 driven by Tariq Ahmad Hurra son of Bashir Ahmed Hurra resident of Naidkhaib Poshawar Bandipora hitted two persons near children hospital bemina (motor garage side) Parimpora.

He said that in the incident Ali Mohd Dar (56) son of Ghulam Nabi Dar resident of Nowpara Baramullah and Fayaz Ahmad Chopan (48) son of Gh Ahmad Chopian resident of Hadipora Rafiabad were injured.

He said that both persons were rushed to JVC Hospital where both succumbed to injuries.

Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident and started an investigation.
