The chief guest on the occasion was DC Baramulla Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar.Also present was ADC Sopore Tariq Ahmed Reshi ACR Baramulla Peerzada Mumtaz,SSP Sopore Shabir Nawab,DDC Rafiabad Parmeet kaur besides other officials. The festival witnessed music, dance, and cultural events that left the people enthralled, but the hallmark of the attraction was snow cricket, volleyball, and skiing. Speaking on the occasion, DC Baramulla Dr. Syed Sehrish Asgar said that the snow festival was organised in the woods of Rafiabad with an aim to promote village tourism. She said more such efforts would be taken from the administration side to further boost local tourism. Dr. Syed Sehrish said efforts will also be made to put such destinations on the tourism map because they have the potential to attract tourists and boost employment opportunities.
