Handwara : Indian Army assisted in extinguishing fire at H/No.80, Pethawadar belonging to Abdul Rashid Bajjad and afterwards extricated the Fire Brigade Vehicle which got stuck on a hairpin turn 1km short of Pethwadar (from location where fire broke out) blocking the only single road axis. On intimation, Bunawadar Army camp sprung into action where teams were divided into two, one for extinguishing the fire and the other to extricate the fire brigade vehicle. The assistance continued till 1100hrs untill both the incidents got settled down. The locals present at the site thanked the India Army for its timely assistance.
