DC Rajouri discusses issues pertaining to defence Land with Army, revenue officers

RAJOURI, FEBRUARY 02: District Magistrate Rajouri, Vikas Kundal on Thursday chaired a joint meeting of the revenue and Army officers to discuss various issues related to demarcation of defence land, acquisition, de-requisition of immovable property, attestation of mutations, notification and rental issues.  The meeting was attended by Col. Fauzdar; Col. Stanley; Col. Nanda Ballabh, ADC, Sachin Dev Singh, ADEO, AC Defence, Salim Qureshi; Tehsildar Sunderbani, Kapil Kant Khajuria; Tehsildar Rajouri, Varinder Kumar, Tehsildar Thanamandi, Syed Sahil Ali, Tehsildar Manjakote, Javed Ahmed, Tehsildar, Nowshera, Raju Samyal.  Threadbare discussion was held on various issues related to the issuance of requisition orders, derequisitions, attestation of mutations, joint verification of land by civil and military authorities, wherever required, timely release of rental compensations, land under the possession of Defence Forces, one-time acquisition of land among others.  The DM asked the Assistant Defence Estate Officer to place the indent for land and joint verification by the revenue authorities for the same, wherever required.  The matter of De-requisition of land in possession of Defence Forces was also discussed and the Deputy Commissioner asked the officer to submit the files at the earliest.  The DM also instructed the concerned Tehsildar to attest the mutations where RO has been issued, and provide documents to the ADEO/military officers so that they are able to issue requisition orders.  Regarding the release of rental compensation, the DC advised the ADEO and other concerned Officers to release the rental compensation at the earliest after following all the codal formalities.  He said that coordination issues between Defence and revenue offices shall be ironed out for the maximum results. He advised the regular meeting of the revenue officer, ADEO office, and Military officers so that minor issues can be resolved at the gross root level.
