Srinagar, Feb 01 : Senior BJP leader and General Secretary J&K UT, Sunil Sharma on Wednesday said that during the ongoing eviction drive the big crocodiles who grabbed state land while using power won’t be spared, while as poor and common people will not be touched in the drive.    Speaking exclusively to KNS, Sharma said recently I met Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and took up the difficulties facing by poor and common people on ground during eviction drives. “The LG Sinha however assured me that no poor will be touched or harmed in the drive”.  “The big crocodiles who gobbled state land while using influence won’t be spared. The government will retrieve land from land grabbers”, Sharma while quoting LG Sinha as having said.   Sharma who is a former J&K cabinet minister said “The LG Sinha assured and told me in strong words that poor and common people will not be harmed”.

He said the LG expressed that there will be some nominal registration fee for those under whose possession is limited land like 10, 12 or 15 Marlas so that they will be allowed to continue their affairs.   To a query, Sharma said I took up the matter during meeting with LG Sinha that poor people are complaining that they are being harmed during eviction drives across which however should be stopped forthwith. “I am hopeful in coming days some concrete directions from LG office will come to fore to end the chaos and uncertainty about eviction drives”.
