Panzgam, Kupwara. Republic Day earmarks the significance of Indian constitution and right spirit of independence. On the 74th Republic Day, Indian Army organised Republic Day celebrations with children from nearby villages at Panzgam Garrison in Kupwara district.
A total of 20 children joined the celebration, wherein Flag hoisting was carried out by four of the youngest children. They were enlightened with the significance and importance about this day. To brighten the spirits, a SNOWMAN COMPETITION was org for the children wherein they participated with full zeal and enthusiasm. The bright ideas of the fertile minds of the children led to creation of unique items from snow to include car, sofa set, snow man, soldier etc. They thoroughly enjoyed the day and the best part was they all got prizes too. Post the completion of event, tea was organisewd for them with the soldiers of Indian army. The Indian Army stands tall with the reputation of being a beacon showing light to the people of Kashmir and the idea of Naya Kashmir. The Awaam of present times has grown up playing and living next door to the Army camps & establishments, sometimes in the hands of Indian Army making them feel the warmth that Army has offered them over the years.
