Budgam Police observed National Voters Day 2023. NVD2023

BUDGAM: 25th Jan 2023: Budgam Police observed National Voters Day-23 (NVD 2023) across the District. The main function was held at District Police Lines Budgam where Sr. Superintendent of Police Budgam Shri Tahir Gilani-JKPS administered oath to the police officers and Jawans.  Speaking on the occasion, SSP Budgam said that National Voters Day (NVD) is celebrated every year to mark the anniversary of foundation of Election Commission of India on 25th January 1950. NVD is celebrated to spread awareness among voters and to promote informed participation in the election process. New voters are encouraged and facilitated to maximize enrolment. He further said that the theme of National Voters Day 2023 is *Nothing Like Voting, I Vote for Sure.* It also focuses on ECI’s commitment towards conducting fair and safe elections across the country. On the occasion, DySP DAR DPL Budgam *Shri owase Rashid-JKPS*, and other officers were also present.  Similarly, Addl. SP Budgam  *Shri Gowhar Ahmad-JKPS* administered the (NVD2023) pledge to officers/Jawans at District Police Office Budgam. DySP Headquarters Budgam *Shri Saqib Ghani-JKPS* and other officers/staff of DPO Budgam also participated in the event.  SDPO Magam *Shri Aftab Awan-JKPS*, SDPO Char-e Sharief *Shri Salim Jehangir-JKPS*  and SDPO  Khansahib *Shri Gh. Mohiudin- JKPS* administered the #NVD2023 Pledge to officers/jawans at their respective sub divisions. All SHOs/DOs of district Budgam also administered the #NVD2023 Pledge to officers/jawans at their respective Police  stations/Police posts.
