Baramulla: 25th Jan 2023:  Baramulla Police observed National Voters Day throughout District. The main function was held at DPHQ Baramulla where SSP Baramulla Shri Amod Ashok Nagpure-IPS alongwith DySP Hqrs Baramulla Shri Sajjad Bukhari-JKPS* administered oath to the *Police Officers and Jawans*.  Speaking on the occasion, *SSP Baramulla said that National Voters Day  is celebrated every year on 25th January in India to encourage more young voters to take part in the political process. The theme of this year’s National Voters Day is ‘Nothing like voting, I vote for sure’*.The day is also  observed to mark the *anniversary of foundation of Election Commission of India on 25th January 1950*.  The day is  celebrated to spread awareness among voters for their participation in the election process
