SHOPIAN, JANUARY 19: To finalise the arrangements for Republic Day, 2023 celebrations, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya today chaired a meeting of concerned officers at Meeting Hall of DC Office Complex, here. The meeting finalized arrangements for smooth and error-free conduct of national event. The DC directed all the concerned departments to make fool proof arrangements for R-Day Celebration. He asked the security agencies to ensure fool proof security at all venues throughout the district. Various issues including seating arrangements, barricading, security, traffic regulation, drinking water and power supply, sanitation, first-aid, PAS, fire-tenders, Media gallery were discussed and finalized. The contingents of Police, CRPF, JKP, Home Guard, NCC, School children, besides Police Band will be the part of celebration.
The meeting was attended by Senior Superintendent of Police, Tanushree; Additional Deputy Commissioner Shopian, Yar Ali Khan; District and sectoral officers.
