JANUARY 18: A meeting of District Level Telecom Committee was today held here under the Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya to discuss the issues regarding Mobile network problems in village Doompora. Threadbare discussions were held to resolve the grievance regarding the installation of mobile towers in the village. The issues of stakeholder departments were also discussed in the meeting. Speaking on the occasion, the DC directed for a submission of a report on non-functioning of Jio/BSNL services in the said village, while directing concerned telecom operators to facilitate the people of the area with network facilities of Jio/BSNL within the shortest possible time. Additional Deputy Commissioner, Yar Ali Khan; DIO, Tehsildar Keegam, Dy.SP, representatives of Telecom Companies and senior officers of the concerned departments were present in the meeting.
