Cricket Tournament  Organised by Army’s 19 RR Concludes at Nowgam Shangus.

Locals appreciate Army’s 19 RR for such initiatives to boost Exposure among youths of area Kazwan Men’s Cricket tournament was organised by Army’s 19 RR at Nowgam Cricket Ground ,Anantnag from 04 Jan to 06 Jan 2023. It concluded with scintillating performances from both the finalist teams.  A total of Eight Cricket teams from tehsil Achabal  had participated in this tournament. The final match played between Nowgam sports and Ugjirbalan sports. An exciting performance by both teams was put up in the match.  Ukgibalan sports won the toss and opted to bat first.Ugjibalan scored 173/5 runs in 15 overs and Nowgam sports only Scored 145/9.Okgibalan sports lifted the coveted KAZWAN  MEN’SCRICKET TROPHY for the Year 2023.  Prominent personalities from Anantnag civil administration graced the  ocassion. BDO Achabal Mr. Mudasir Gul, SDPO Achabal DSP Raqib, Sarpanch of varous villages and other army officers witnessed the final match and closing ceremony.BDO and SDPO  also motivated youth to come forward and participate in such toumaments as it will help them to channelize their energies in positive direction and will also help them to stay away from Drugs.Major Shivam Coy Cdr kazwan 19 RR addressed the youth and said that Army will keep conducting such events to provide a good platform in sports for young talent of the Kashmir Valley.  Locals appreciate 19 Rashtriya Rifles to provide Platform through such activities to show their hidden talent.
