JANUARY 03: The weeklong ‘NSS Special Winter Camp’ organized by the National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit under the aegis of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav concluded here today in the Government Degree College, Ukhral. Principal of the College, Dr. Ashok Kumar, was the chief guest, while Satyaveer Singh, Army Officer of Ukhral Army Post was the guest of honor at the valedictory function of the seven-day-long winter camp which was started on the 27th of December 2022. In his address, Dr. Ashok Kumar lauded the efforts of the NSS Unit for successfully organizing this Camp. He advised the participants to render community services and spread the message of truth, kindness, affection, and righteousness among people in society. Earlier, NSS Programme Officer, Prof. Zakir Hussain Naik, presented a detailed report of various activities carried out during the weeklong camp which was attended by forty-two NSS Volunteers. He said that NSS plays an important role in serving society and inculcating various moral and social values among the youth. On the occasion, a colorful cultural programme was also presented by the NSS Volunteers which was highly appreciated by one and all. Among others, faculty members and large numbers of students were also present on the occasion.
