Budgam, 2nd January 2023: In order to review the overall security scenario of the district _*SSP Budgam Shri Tahir Saleem-JKPS*_ today chaired a meeting at Conference Hall of District Police Headquarters Budgam and reviewed Republic Day-2023 arrangements, targets and goals for 2023, disposal of pending UAPA cases, security of vulnerable persons & other aspects of policing including verifications, disposal of NDPS, inquest proceedings, and other issues related to accountable policing were also discussed. The meeting was attended by Addl. SP Budgam

Shri Gowhar Ahmed-JKPS DySP DAR DPL Budgam Shri Owaise Rashid-JKPS SDPO Khansahib Ghulam Mohi-u-Din-JKPS* SDPO Charar Shareef *Shri Salim Jehangir-JKPS DySP PC Budgam Dr. Ajaz Malik-JKPS* DySP PC Chadoora *Shri Mohammad Anzar-JKPS Probationary DySsP Faisal Arif Reshu-JKPS, Mubashir Niyaz-JKPS, Ms. Anjana-JKPS all SHOs and Incharge Police Posts of district Budgam. During interaction, participating officers briefed the SSP about the security scenarios in their respective areas and the security measures being adopted to counter the challenges. SSP Budgam directed the participating officers to remain extra-vigilant, strengthen nakas/checkpoints, and generate actionable intelligence so that the nefarious designs of anti-national elements can be thwarted.   Security measures/preparations to be put in place in connection with forthcoming *Republic Day-2023* celebrations were discussed in detail.    SSP emphasized that the officers put coordinated efforts with other forces working on the ground  to ensure a peaceful atmosphere in the district and peaceful event of 26th January 2023 .He further directed the officers to personally supervise the arrangements required in connection with the event. During the meeting, SSP Budgam sought reports from officers on pending UAPA cases, NDPS cases  disposal of their respective jurisdiction. OGWs activities and their control measures were discussed in detail. The methods to be adopted to enhance efficiency , transparency, and accountability in different policing front were also discussed.
