Non-local Woman Killed, 7 Injured As Passenger Cab Rolls Down Gorge Along Srinagar-Jammu Highway

Srinagar, Dec 30 : A woman was killed and seven other passengers suffered injuries after a passenger cab they were on board rolled down into a deep gorge along Srinagar-Jammu highway on Friday afternoon.

Reports reaching that a ‘Xylo’ (UP23HL 6527) on way from Jammu towards Srinagar through Jawahar tunnel rolled down into a deep gorge at Gutigund Verinag near Zig post, resulting in injuries to eight persons. The injured persons were evacuated to a hospital at Qazigund, where one Sheeba Iraqi of Uttar Pradesh was declared as brought dead on arrival.
