Inspects functioning of BDO Office Ganderbal

 In view of the celebrations of “Good Governance Week 2022” with the theme-‘Sushasan Saptah – Prashasan Gaon Ki Aur’ which started today across the district, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambir today chaired a meeting of officers to discuss the activities to be carried out during the week-long campaign.

At the outset, the DC informed that the Good Governance week celebration aims to reaffirm the government’s commitment to provide people an accessible administration at their doorsteps under “Prashasan Gaon ki Aur”.

On the occasion, the DC gave necessary instructions to the district officers to provide all facilities to the people at their doorsteps.

The DC passed directions to all the departments to intensify their activities as part of campaign for the redressal of public grievances and improving online service delivery in the district.

He urged them to involve locals and PRIs in activities to be carried during the weeklong campaign to take the development to every nook and corner of the district.

The DC asked the District Level Committee for management of offices in Mini Secretariat Complex Ganderbal for Good Governance to undertake all necessary measures for revamping organization structure in Mini Secretariat Complex for better public service delivery. He also directed them to take concrete decisions on sanitation, waste management, proper signage, information boards and others for betterment of the general public.

The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani; ASP, SDM Kangan, CPO, ACR, DTO besides other district officers.

Later, the DC along with ADDC, CPO and ACR visited BDO Office Ganderbal where he inspected the various sections of the office and gave necessary directions to the officials for ensuring timely service delivery and quality disposal of grievances to the people visiting there.
