An Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was detected & Destroyed by a joint team of police and security forces along National highway in Pattan area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday Afternoon.
Security forces during the course of patrolling, detected an IED along the Srinagar-Baramulla National highway.
Shortly after the detection of the IED, the traffic was halted and the movement of people was restricted, they said however Bomb Disposal Squad was rushed to the spot.
The Bomb disposal team destroyed the IED without causing any harm and traffic was Restored subsequently. The alertness of security forces prevented occurrence of any untoward incident.
